It needs to be paid in advance with your registration. We need your name, address, phone number, birth date, and Driver’s license number. Checks may be made out to Red Rock Central Community Education, and mailed to Red Rock Central School, 100 6th Avenue E., (PO Box 278), Lamberton, Mn. 56152. Or you may pay in person in the High School office of the Lamberton building. Registration should be completed no later than Friday, April 9th. Class minimum is set at 25 participants. Saturday - March 13 starting at 5PM Menu: Beer-battered bullheads; baked beans; potato salad & bread Cost: adults $8; children 12 and under $6 Sanborn American Legion March 22 @ 7PM $2.50 per card Food & beverages available 6PM The first one will be FARM TRANSFER AND ESTATE PLANNING. This class will cover the opportunities and risks in planning for farming family succession (farm estate planning). We will discuss the use of Trusts, Wills, Powers of Attorney, Partnerships, Corporations and Limited Liability Companies in the farming context. Learn how to make your estate or farm business less attractive to predators in our sue-happy world while allowing for control by you or your spouse. Also we will discuss the tax laws and the ways to pass your estate with the least cost to you or your family beneficiaries. The class will be instructed by Hannon T. Ford, Attorney and Counselor at Law. It will be held on Monday March 22, 2010 at 6:00 pm at the Lamberton High School Library. The class will last approximately 2 hours. Students should bring a pen, and there will be handouts. Pre-registration is required so there will be enough handouts for all participants. Call 752-7361 by Wednesday, March 17, 2010 to register. The second class will be MEDICAL ASSISTANCE AND LONG TERM CARE PLANNING (NURSING HOME PLANNING). It is a thorough workshop about long term care (nursing home) planning options. The recently enacted federal and state laws concerning asset planning and long term care insurance can cause difficulties and also create great opportunities. Come learn about what you can do now or later to plan for the possibility of long term care. Whether your goal is to retain control of your assets, leave an inheritance to your loved ones or choose how you want to be taken care of if you become disabled, this workshop is for you.
