Registered User Agreement:

RRCNET is a Minnesota non-profit organization whose mission is to help build community within the Redwood and Cottonwood County area by promoting dialog and information sharing, without regard to social or economic status, through the use of information technologies. RRCNET is part of the learning network of the Red Rock Central School System, ISD #2884.

This is the RRCNET Registered User Agreement. In order to use all of the features of RRCNET’s system, you must agree to the ground rules set forth in this Agreement. Please read the Registered User Agreement Carefully.

I understand and agree that:

  1. As a Registered User, I will be given a password and an account and I will be allowed to use the services and features of the RRCNET system.
  2. Being a Registered User on the RRCNET system is a privilege. I must conduct myself and use the RRCNET system in an acceptable manner. If I do not, my password and account may be cancelled, without notice, by the RRCNET Board of Directors, RRCNET School District or it’s agent, and I will not be permitted to use the RRCNET system.
  3. Behavior which is unacceptable and may result in cancellation includes, but is not limited to: unauthorized access, disruption or monitoring of any file, account, or program on this or any other system which does not belong to me; damage or impairment of the RRCNET equipment, hardware, software, data, or operations; use of the system for illegal or criminal purposes; harassment of other users; use of the system for purposes outside the goals of RRCNET; violation of any copyrights, trademarks, or software license agreements; use of the system as a means to improperly gain access to other computer systems, networks or programs; sharing of passwords, not maintaining confidentiality of passwords.
  4. Any material which falls within any of the categories in Part 3 of this Registered User Agreement may be removed from the system.
  5. RRCNET is not responsible for, and makes no claim to, any material placed on it's system by any user. RRCNET does not claim any copyright, trademark or other interest in information accessed through its system.
  6. RRCNET does not guarantee that the function of its system will meet any specific requirements that I may have, nor that it will be error-free or available on a non-interrupted basis, nor shall RRCNET be liable for any damages incurred in connection with the use of the system.
  7. The information accessible through the RRCNET system is offered as a community service and is not intended to be and is not a substitute for individual professional consultation.
  8. Refund requests of advance payments will not be granted by the organization or it's agents.
  9. I have read each part of this Registered User Agreement. I will be bound by this Registered User Agreement and all current and future rules and procedures of RRCNET.

All Services and features of the RRCNET are available for the general informational, communications, and entertainment purposes. The services and features of RRCNET are intended for the private use of its patrons, and any unauthorized or unacceptable use of this system, in any form, is expressly forbidden.

RRCNET is not responsible for, and makes no claim to, any material on it's system by any user. RRCNET does not claim any copyright, trademark or other interest in information accessed through its system.

    UPDATE JULY 1, 2002 on "Internet Privacy"

    As of July 1, 2002, Minnesota Internet service providers (ISPs) are prohibited from disclosing personal information about their consumers, without permission, under a new law. Authored by Sen. Steve Kelley (DFL-Hopkins) and Rep. Tim Pawlenty (R-Eagan), Chapter 395 requires ISPs to include conspicuous language stating that authorization for disclosure of consumer information is obtained by either an opt-in or an opt-out method.

    RRCNET's policy shall be that "consumers who desire that their information NOT be shared, shall contact the RRC School District or it's agent, and express this in writing."
