Who are they?...
the secretaries and bookkeepers, the custodians and bus drivers, the cooks
and the education assistants.
Where are they?...ESP are found
in all areas of our school .....in the offices, the kitchen the classrooms,
the hallways, and on the buses.
What do they do?...They keep
the building clean, cook the meals the students and staff eat, answer the
phone, make schedules, and run off papers. They work with students
in the classrooms, in the computer labs, the lunch room, and on the playground.
They drive the busses that bring students to school and take them home
each day.
Without Education Support Personnel most activities in
our school would come to a halt or be greatly altered. Would you like to
walk to school like many of your grandparents did? Carry your lunch
each day? How would your teachers feel about sweeping the floors
or keeping the heating system functioning? Who would answer your
questions when the teacher is busy?
