Text:  Advanced Mathematics, A Precalculus Approach

This is a theory math course for students who know that they will be required to take Calculus in college.  Students will study polynomial, exponential, and logarithmic functions; and cover trigonometric identities, equations, and proofs as well as trigonometric applications.  Real life applications will be done whenever appropriate.

Students will learn to use the TI-81 graphing calculators.  These calculators are provided by the ITV.

This course completes the Graduation Standards in Algebraic Patterns, and Discrete Functions and Patterns which were started in earlier mathematics courses.
