Computer Classes:

Red Rock Central Community Education in cooperation with Marshall Adult Basic Education (ABE), are offering computer classes to improve your workplace skills. FREE!

Student may take up to 30 hours of computer classes during the 2007-2008 school year for the purpose of gaining skills leading to employability. Self-employed? Starting a new business? Or you need to sharpen some skills for your current job? Then these classes are for you! And if you need more than the 30 hours, you may pay for additional time. If you took these classes last fall from us, we need to count those hours. You may take thirty hours this school year. The instructors will have a background in the program(s) that you are studying, but you will be working on your own at your own pace, with a tutorial. The instructor will be there to help you through any part that you don’t understand.

We will be offering these classes at the Red Rock Central Elementary School in Jeffers at this time, as the high school lab has been updated to the 2007 Microsoft Office Suite, and the tutorials are not ready at this time. (But do watch for an article when we are ready to offer these classes.)

The computer lab will be open 5 hours per week for 6 weeks, this spring. You may drop in whenever it is convenient and it fits your schedule. You simply sign in and work. When you are done, you sign out, stating what you were working on. If you have a computer at home and take the time to practice your new skills your learning will be greatly increased, and you will move along at a greater speed.
