This week the Falcons had only two meets scheduled and only one was able to take place. On Monday, the Falcons traveled to Adrian. The boys team had a dual meet with Windom and the girls had a triangular with Windom and Adrian. On Friday we were to host Hills/Beaver Creek but were rained out. The meet was rescheduled for Monday May 5. The rest of the week was spent on much needed practice to sharpen the skills as we head into the end of the season tournaments.
On Monday both squads shot their best rounds of the season. The boys still lost by 21 strokes to the solid Windom team. RRC shot a 174 with Windom shooting a 153. The medalist for the meet was Jordan Stahl with a one under par 35. For the Falcons Matt Fox led the team with a 40. Also scoring for the Falcons were Blake Walker with a 41, Chris Miller with a 42 and Jordan Vollmer with a 51. The girls meet was won by Windom also scoring a 189, followed by the Falcons with a 204, and Adrian with a 214. The medalist for the the girls meet was RRC's Sarah DeCock with a 44. The rest of the scorers for the Falcons were Caitlyn DeCock, and Alison Kircher with 53 and Alyse Quade with a 54.
In the upcoming week the Falcons have three days of competition. On Monday we will host Hills/Beaver Creek (makeup match from Friday. On Thursday we will travel to Jackson for a dual meet with JCC. On Friday we will Host a Quadrangular for the girls with Sleepy Eye St Mary's, Fulda, and Murray County Central coming to town. The boys will have a triangular with Sleepy Eye St Mary's and Wabasso. Hopefully the weather will cooperate and we can get all of them in for once this season.
