STUDENTS:                                               

       1.  Mr. Goetstouwers will not be available this afternoon because he’s administering the AP exam.

 

         2.   Any student interested in becoming an ambassador for an organization called That’s Not Cool?  This organization uses examples of pressure and control that occur in the digital world (online and via cell phone) to encourage young people to draw their own lines about what’s okay, or not okay, in relationships. Members of the That’s Not Cool Ambassadors team will gain valuable experience, national exposure, and meaningfully contribute to this award-winning campaign.  More information can be found at thatsnotcool@futureswithoutviolence.org or talk to Mr. G.  This is a great way to get involved in a very positive way, make a difference, be an advocate for positive choices, and build your resume.

 

       3.  AP students report to Mrs. Larson’s room by 12:00 for your test today. (eat at 11:40).

 

       4.  Mrs. Larson’s 7th hour study hall report to Mr. Pack’s room today.

 

       5.  Seniors – please be sure to clean out your gym locker if you aren’t still using it.  Get all your bills paid and return any overdue books.  Detention time needs to be completed also.

 

       6.  Seniors song practice: today girls period 5 (1:10 – 1:30); tomorrow everyone period 5 (12:45 – 1:05). Friday, May 18 everyone period 5 (1:15 – 1:30); Monday, May 21 everyone period 2 (9:48 – 10:09 – might run a bit into period 3); Tuesday, May 22 everyone period 5 (12:45 – 1:05).

 

       7.  Drama shirts are $11.95, which must be paid before you can take your shirt home.  Please make plans to get yours this week

 

       8.  The German students will be going on a field trip on Mon., May 21, leaving at 11:00 and returning during 5th hour.  Students, meet on the north side of the school to board bus promptly at the beginning of 4th hr.! 

 

         9.   Recycling this Thursday for Group C.  The following students need to take the tubs to the pod classroom at 12:10 and begin sorting them.  Alicia V (Larson, Pack, Penner); Joel D (Derickson, Dunn, Mac Lab); Leona (Bartholomaus, Vold, Library); Jamie G (Choir, Band, Hubert, Wegman); Katie P (Keck, Jenniges, Polzin, Dammann); Libbey W (Main office (3) Dr. Brennan); Brenda L (Wilmes, Altermatt, Goblish); Mrs. Goblish (labs, Walker, Stevenson, Manthei).

 

     10.  Payton & Hannah are driving tonight.

 

     11.  FFA members who want to take the trip to the National FFA Convention next October must bring a $50 deposit to Mr. Dammann by this Friday, May 18.

 

     12.  Jeffers, Sanborn, & Storden summer rec schedules are available in the office.

 

     13.  Congratulations to Alison Kircher, Kylie Redenius, and Zach Valentin for being named all-conference in Golf this year.

 

     14.  Any softball players who purchased a uniform this year needs to pay $13 as soon as they can.

 

     15.  TOMORROW:  7/8 softball at Tracy at 4:30.  Bus leaves Lamberton at 3:15. Conference Track at 4:00 at Slayton.  Bus leaves Lamberton at 2:30. Golf at Adrian. Vans leave Lamberton at 2:30. Baseball vs. TMB at Lamberton at 4:30 (JV at Westbrook). Bus to Westbrook leaves at 3:15.

 

     16.  Lunch today: Italian Dunkers, Spaghetti Sauce, Salad Bar, Pears. Not eating: Mitch S, Jordan M, Tyler M.

 

     17.  Today in History:  1861 – Tennessee is officially admitted to the Confederacy, opening the door for its alliance with the southern rebels in the American Civil War.
