Essential Functions:
 
 Administers and supervises the design, construction and maintenance
of all county roads, as well as the supervision of the County Highway Department
office and shop.

Annual Budget- $3,500,000

Funding comes from State gas tax revenues and local property tax levies
 

We have 414 miles of county roads, 156 miles are gravel and 258 miles are bituminous shops located in Mt. Lake, Jeffers, Storden, Westbrook, and Windom.

We have 22 employees

Duties:

1. Manage the county highway system
2. Prepares surveys, estimates, plans, and specifications
3. Inspect, and inventor annually all bridges
