My name is Dan Churchill.  I am a senior attending Macalester College in Saint Paul, Minnesota.  I am a Computer Science major and a Music minor.  This year I am president of Macalester Christian Fellowship, and assistant editor of Couterpoint, the newsletter of the as-yet-unnamed music club.  I have played euphonium in the Macalester College Symphonic Band and bass trombone in Mac Jazz and the Macalester Symphony Orchestra.  Needless to say, after my studies, rehearsals, and work study job in CIT, I have very little free time for hobbies and other such things.  When I do have time for something extra, you are most likely to find me doing something computer-related, from playing Riven to tinkering with my Linux machine.  To keep up with the fast-paced computer industry, I subscribe to Computer Shopper and PC Magazine,  either of which I would recommend as high-quality, informative computer magazines.  Two of the best online magazines that I know of are HotWired and The Week in Web Review.

Background: I grew up in Lamberton, a small community in southwestern Minnesota.  I am a 1996 graduate of Red Rock Central High School.  Some of the activities that I was involved in were Academic Decathlon, Band, Choir, Jazz Band, and National Honor Society.  While in high school, I worked for The Music Mart.  Since then I have spent my summers working for RRCNET and the Macalester College Computing and Information Technologies department, doing anything from web site creation, to Netware server and client setup, to Perl programming.

Sorry if you were looking for a button to return to my home page, but I find that, in practice, no one uses those things anyway, so just use the little back arrow on the left end of your toolbar.
