Red Rock Central District No. 2884

Thursday, August 29, 2002

A special meeting of the Board of Education, District No. 2884, was held in the Board Room in Lamberton on Thursday, August 29, 2002. Members present were: Derickson, Imker, Gransee, Mattison, Meyer, Moldan, and Myers. Superintendent Brennan, Administrative Assistant Olson, and Charles Nordby were also in attendance.

Chairman Gransee called the meeting to order at 8:03 p.m.

Discussion was held on the following items: campus issues, changes to informational flyer, referendum amount and duration, and communication issues.

Upon motion of Imker, seconded by Myers and unanimously carried, to approve having an operating levy referendum at $950 per resident marginal cost pupil unit for 10 years duration with the understanding that the state will pay 62.25%. The Board designated the vote to be held at the general election November 5, 2002.

Administrative Assistant Olson reported on possible changes in the tardiness policy at the high school and athletic eligibility policies.

Upon motion of Imker, seconded by Mattison and unanimously carried, to adjourn the meeting at 9:30 p.m.
