Monday,
June 18, 2012
The regular
monthly meeting of the Board of Education, District No. 2884, was held in the Board
Room in Lamberton on Monday, June 18, 2012.
Members present were: Bierl,
Clarke, Erickson, Johnson, Kelsey, Rogotzke, and Stavnes. Superintendent Brennan, Bryce Pack, Joe
Dietl, and Denise Clarke were also in attendance.
Upon motion of
Clarke, seconded by Johnson and unanimously carried, to approve the agenda as
amended, the minutes of the May 22, 2012 meeting and the treasurer’s report.
Bryce Pack came
before the Board to talk about his salary as Athletic Director.
Upon motion of
Kelsey, seconded by Erickson and unanimously carried, to set Bryce Pack’s
Athletic Director salary for the 2012-2013 school year
at $20,000.
Upon motion of
Clarke, seconded by Stavnes and unanimously carried, to pay claims in the
amount of $61,651.77. Receipts were
$420,616.90.
Upon motion of
Kelsey, seconded by Erickson and unanimously carried, to approve the July 1,
2012 – June 30, 2014 contract with the Red Rock Central Educational Support
Personnel Association as written.
Upon motion of
Clarke, seconded by Bierl and unanimously carried, to approve the Q Comp Annual Report as written.
The following
items were discussed: The Longstockings
will not be requesting permission to sell beer at the school ball field,
teacher contract negotiations, extra duty compensation, student open
enrollment, elementary band member counts, projected kindergarten enrollment,
projected pre-school enrollment, and upcoming school board election.
Upon motion of
Clarke, seconded by Johnson and unanimously carried, to adjourn at 8:15 p.m.
