Monday, May 9, 2005

The regular monthly meeting of the Board of Education, District No. 2884, was held in the Board Room in Lamberton on Monday, May 9, 2005. Members present were: Clarke, Derickson, Greenfield, Mattison, Meyer, Moldan, and Myers. Superintendent Brennan, Principal Olson, Toni Carlino, Arlyce Anderson, Joe Dietl, and Denise Clarke were also in attendance.

Chairman Derickson called the meeting to order at 9:35 p.m.

The Pledge of Allegiance was recited.

Ms. Toni Carlino addressed the Board on the District policy on sexual harassment.

Upon motion of Moldan, seconded by Myers and unanimously carried, to approve the amended agenda, the minutes of the April 11, 2005 regular meeting, the minutes of the April 19, 2005 special meeting, the minutes of the April 26, 2005 special meeting, and the treasurer’s report.

Upon motion of Clarke, seconded by Meyer and unanimously carried, that the last day of school for Seniors will be May 25^th subject to good behavior. The class will be served breakfast and have Commencement practice before being excused for the day.

Upon motion of Clarke, seconded by Greenfield and unanimously carried, to pay claims in the amount of $68,746.45. Receipts were $451,441.51.

Upon motion of Clarke, seconded by Moldan and unanimously carried, to rehire Rose Purrington as part-time elementary special education teacher for the 2005-2006 school year.

Upon motion of Moldan, seconded by Mattison and unanimously carried, to renew membership in the Minnesota State High School League for the 2005-2006 school year.

Upon motion of Mattison, seconded by Myers and unanimously carried, to adjourn the meeting at 10:15 p.m.
