Red Rock Central District No. 2884

Monday, April 23, 2001

A special meeting of the Board of Education, District No. 2884, was held in the Board Room in Lamberton on Monday, April 23, 2001. Members present were: Derickson, Imker, Gransee, Mattison, and Moldan. Myers was absent. Superintendent John Brennan, Joe Dietl, Wendy Meyer, Steve Sell and Jim Quade were also in attendance.

Chairman Gransee called the meeting to order at 7:36 p.m.

Upon motion of Mattison, seconded by Moldan and unanimously carried, to award the boiler bid to Paape, for $46,200.00.

Interviews were conducted with Wendy Meyer, Jim Quade, and Steve Sell regarding their interest in the open Board seat in Precinct 2.

Upon motion of Mattison, seconded by Imker and unanimously carried, to select Wendy Meyer to fill Mr. Alan Clarke's seat on the Board.

The Board discussed the land sale in Jeffers.

Upon motion of Imker, seconded by Mattison and unanimously carried, to run the ad to reopen land sale by competitive bidding on the seven (7) acres of School District owned land near the Jeffers Elementary building.

The Board appointed Imker to the Staff Development Committee with Derickson as alternate.

Upon motion of Moldan, seconded by Derickson and unanimously carried, to adjourn the meeting at 10:02 p.m.
