Red Rock Central District No. 2884

Tuesday, March 6, 2001

A special meeting of the Board of Education, District No. 2884, was held in the Board Room in Lamberton on Tuesday, March 6, 2001. Members present were: Clarke, Derickson, Imker, Gransee, Mattison, and Moldan. Myers was absent due to a family illness.

Chairman Gransee called the meeting to order at 7:38 p.m.

The workshop meeting of the Board was all discussion related issues and the Board took no official action at that time.

Derickson and Mattison updated the Board on the conference they attended on Charter Schools.

Imker will represent the Board at Senator Vickerman’s meeting in Tracy on Saturday, March 10^th.

Superintendent Brennan updated the Board on the CRTC programs for next year since Sleepy Eye had announced their non-involvement for the 2001-2002 school year.

The Board discussed additional issues ranging from selling land in Jeffers to the future curriculum needs for our students in light of budget problems. They expressed their concerns about the fire doors being locked during games and the possible issue of an open Board seat in the near future.

The meeting was adjourned at 9:48 p.m.
