The Bass Club held their March meeting on the 8th of March at the Eagles Cub in Windom. The meeting was called to order and roll was taken. The treasurers report from Marlin stated that all the bills from the banquet had been presented and paid also stated that we had a positive balance after all the bills were paid. A big Thank you goes to all the sponsors that helped with this year’s banquet and that we appreciate your support.

Old Business: the topic of rules change was discussed and voted upon. The vote was to keep the rules the same and the motion was approved. Orlyn will keep record of both styles of point systems for the next year. Problems with the current dates have been brought up and new dates were discussed. The discussion was tabled until the April meeting because nobody was prepared to set new dates. The topic of lakes was brought up and discussed. Lakes will be chosen at the April meeting so bring your information on your favorite lakes.

New Business: Bass Club insurance was suggested by Bruce and information was presented outlining cost, coverages and ect. The coverage that Bruce found was for $1,000,000coverage for $395 per year. Marlin suggested that other sources for insurance of this nature be considered and priced. Discussion followed and the board decided to check into this insurance before the April meeting. The board will meet at 7:00p.m. to discuss the insurance issue.

Date Discussion for Tournaments: The discussion of dates came up because of problems with the date in August. Due to conflicts, that date will be changed. Please bring schedules and lists of dates that are acceptable for this tournament. It is understood that due to the large amount of activities during the summer , not all dates will be acceptable to everyone so please be prepared, as we need to confirm this date at the April meeting.

Website: Tony reported that the website was up and running and in need of pictures.

Thank yous: Orlyn Hagena addressed the club and expressed his gratitude for being chosen as "sportsman of the year". Bob Hanson expressed his gratitude for the "pass the hat" gesture and the print action at the banquet for his family. Our thoughts and prayers are with Bob and his family. WAY TO GO GUYS!!!!!!!!!
