What God Wants You to Know

1.) I am a sinner.    Romans 3:23 states, “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. The Bible states that all have sinned, ever single one of us.
2.) Sin has a penalty for which I will be held accountable. Romans 6:23 states, “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
I have a penalty I owe because I am a sinner. That penalty is death! We are all destined to death as a result of our sin (Hebrews 9:27).
3.) Jesus paid the price for my sin. Romans 5:8 states, “But God commendeth His love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” Jesus paid the price for my sin, but I must realize the price He paid (He died for me) was paid in full at the cross. His one time sacrifice for sin is sufficient for all (Hebrews 10:10)!
4.) I can be delivered from the penalty of my sin. John 1:12 states, “But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name.” I can become a child of God by trusting Jesus Christ as my Savior! I have one of two choices: 1. I can pay for my own sin, which means eternal separation from God forever in hell. or 2. I can trust in Jesus Christ, believing that He paid the price in full for my sin, and be delivered from eternal destruction (John 3:36). God has given you the freedom to make that choice on your own. There are no other options!
5.) I can experience the forgiveness of sin. Colossians 1:14 states, “In whom we have redemption through His blood, even the forgiveness of sins.”  Without Jesus shedding His blood, there could not be forgiveness of sin (Hebrews 9:22). Jesus is the only one can forgive sin and cleanse from all unrighteousness (I John 1:9, 2:2).
6.) I can know that my sins are forgiven and that I am going to heaven.  Heaven is a very real place prepared for those who belong to Christ (John 14:2,3).  No one will accidentally arrive in heaven. You need to make a deliberate choice by the direct act of your will to trust in Jesus Christ as your very own personal Savior. Then the Bible states, you can know for sure you are going to heaven (I John 5:11-13). Don’t just think that when you die you are going there, but plan ahead to be there by receiving Jesus Christ as your Savior today, while you still have opportunity (II Corinthians 6:2).
