All Masonic Christmas Party is Set

This year’s All-Masonic Christmas party has been set for Thursday, December 4, at the Bingham Lake Community Center.  All Masons, members of appendant bodies, spouses, widows and friends are cordially invited to attend.  A social hour will begin at 5:30 p.m. with a catered supper at 6:30.

If you are planning to attend, please call Kjell Turner at 831-0136, Al Peterson at 831-0212 or Duane Pingeon at 831-3882 by Tuesday, November 25.  You are also asked to bring an unwrapped toy as a gift for needy children.

Past Masters to be Honored

As is customary, the annual Past Masters’ Night will be held on the third Thursday of November, which will be November 20.  Dinner will be prepared by the Eastern Star and served at 6:30 p.m.  Lodge will be opened at 7:30 on the First Degree for a Stated Communication, with Past Masters filling the chairs.  All Masons are invited to attend and help us honor our Past Masters for their service to the Fraternity.  Reservations are not required.

In addition, we have scheduled First Degree work for the evening.  The candidate is Mr. Perry Flatgard of Windom.  Perry works for Cottonwood County.

Fraternal News

Six of our Brothers passed away since the last newsletter was sent in April.  They are John Rempel of Windom on June 12; Marv Wiens of Windom on July 16; Lyle Storbeck of Huron, South Dakota, on July 19; Kermit Hecker of Heron Lake on August 27; Donald Untiedt on Lake Park, Iowa, on September 2; and Carl Haugen of Fairmont on September 3.

As noted in the Past Masters article, Mr. Perry Flatgard has been elected to receive the degrees, with the First Degree to be given on November 20.

Hospital Foundation Assisted

For the second time this year, members of Prudence Lodge assisted the Windom Area Hospital Foundation with a breakfast fundraiser.  On Sunday, October 26, Dad’s Belgian Waffles were served at the Eagles Club.  About 375 people were served.

 Dues are Due

Most of you will find a blue envelope included with this newsletter and a dues statement at the bottom.  That is because it is time once again to pay dues for the upcoming year.  Please return your check as soon as possible, and consider adding a little something extra for the Masonic Service Association Vets Hospital Visitation Program.

Lifetime members will find their new dues card enclosed plus the blue envelope for contributions to the Visitation Program.
