All Masonic Christmas Party is Set

This year’s All-Masonic Christmas party has been set for Friday, December 6, at the Eagles Club in Windom. All Masons, members of appendant bodies, spouses, widows and friends are cordially invited to attend. A social hour will begin at 5:30 p.m. with supper at 6:30. We will have a two meat buffet featuring ham and roast beef at a cost of $9.00 per person.

A highlight of the evening will be presentation of 50 Year Pins by our District Representative, Maynard Townswick of Worthington. Recipients will be Ken Langland, Warren Sontag and Marv Wiens.

If you are planning to attend, please call Kjell Turner at 831-0136, Al Peterson at 831-0212 or Duane Pingeon at 831-3882 by Tuesday, December 3. You are also asked to bring an unwrapped toy as a gift for needy children.

Past Masters to be Honored

As is customary, the annual Past Masters’ Night will be held on the third Thursday of November which will be November 21. A pork loin dinner will be prepared by the Eastern Star and served at 6:30 p.m. Lodge will be opened at 7:30 on the Third Degree for a Stated Communication, with Past Masters filling the chairs. All Master Masons are invited to attend and help us honor our Past Masters for their service to the Fraternity. Reservations are not required.

By-Laws Amended

As you were informed in our last newsletter, the May 2002 issue, the By-Laws of Prudence Lodge were amended to allow us to conduct business during the summer months. The amendment passed on a unanimous vote at the May 16 Communication. Communications were held in June and July.

Dues are Due

Most of you will find a blue envelope included with this newsletter and a dues statement at the bottom. That is because it is time once again to pay dues for the upcoming year. Please return your check as soon as possible, and consider adding a little something extra for the Masonic Service Association Vets Hospital Visitation Program.

Nitch Passed to Fellow Craft

Our newest Brother, Tracy Nitch of Heron Lake, is advancing through the Degrees in Prudence Lodge. Tracy was made an Entered Apprentice on October 17 and passed to the Degree of a Fellow Craft on November 13. The date for the Third Degree has not yet been set.
